AML 3.0 UCSF stem-cell transplant - Day +159
Blogging tunes: SomaFM Drone Zone
UCSF appointment in two days, so I’ll save the “counts” chart for my next post. Though if I were a betting man — which I am… GO BIRDS! — I’d bet that counts are up. My energy seems to be rising a bit the last week or so. I think it’s a combination of the reduced Zifto — I’ve been on 400mg (down from 600mg) for about 10 days now — and the fact that I’m finally pretty much done with whatever this 4 week flu/bug was. Hooray new immune system!
As a result, Peloton output is finally on the rise again… I got my highest post-AML-3.0 output yet earlier today. But before we get to the chart showing all this goodness, let’s talk a little music… specifically Chum, my Phish Tribute Band.
Music has always been a huge part of these recoveries. In fact, it was about 3 years after my first transplant that I joined Chum… that was 11 years ago! Wow!
Anyway, I haven’t been well enough to gig since the transplant, but energy is up, so we booked some gigs. Here’s the current schedule
Sat Feb 1 - Crazy Horse - Nevada City, CA - That’s this Saturday!! (tix here)
Fri Feb 28 - Boom Boom Room - San Francisco, CA - 4 weeks, later (will be posted on BBR calendar soon)
Fri Apr 4 - Santa Cruz, CA (tenative)
Sat Apr 5 - Ivy Room - Albany CA (tix here)
Locals: I’ll be sending evites for BBR and Ivy Room as they get closer. Not on my Evite list and wanna be? Hit me up. (Sorry, Charlie E., we still don’t have a mailing list.)
Anyhoooo, here’s the exercise chart. Note the 23k steps day and today’s Peloton output (both circled in Kelly Green). That lower Peloton output from a couple days ago was one of those 45 minute leisurely weekend rides. But even that one is higher than the two weekend rides from Days ~93/100. Onward and upward, gang!
Oh, we did another hoagie fest for the Commodores beat down on Sundee — how do you like them apples, QC? Orion’s getting really good at his hoagie construction!
Short post today. Gotta put on the headphones now. Rehearsal tomorrow. Gig on Saturdee. See ya there, KE!
LFG BIRDS!!!!!!
iwkiaaaa
Haha, commodores beat down, reminds of my Commodore 64 back in the day… that was 64Kb of RAM.
Have a good gig!
